Daily Riding Lessons
Daily riding instruction is provided with emphasis on mastering equitation, hunt seat, dressage and jumping. Students are directed towards an achievement of skills that will enable them to ride correctly and safely. Fun on horseback every day as well as games every Wednesday and a horse show every Friday to show parents what their children have learned.
Equestrian Activities
Children are taught responsibility to the horse they are assigned and create a bond with them, not just in riding but in their overall care. Students will learn how to properly groom, tack up, bathe, and care for their assigned horse or pony with fun counselor led instruction.
Other Activities
Supervised swimming, trampoline and arts and crafts are apart of every enjoyable day. Daily games such as Capture the Flag, Horseless Horse Show, Relay Races and more insure an active and fun time while at camp. Arts and Crafts like collages, painting horse heads, making horseshoe picture frames, tie dying, and many other crafts are also included in the day.
Required Items
- Certified Horseback Riding Helmet (NOT a bicycle helmet)
- Riding pants (or jeans)
- Riding boots (or flat soled shoes with half inch heel)
- Lunch Monday thru Thursday (Pizza Party every Friday)
- Bathing suit and towel
Horseshows
Camp horseshows are scheduled every Friday along with a pizza party. Parents are encouraged to come and watch their child ride and see how much they have learned over the week. Prizes and Awards are given to all campers, and special awards are given to those who displayed certain qualities over the week. Costume classes include Hawaiian week, Christmas in July, Halloween week, etc.
